DNS Errors/Chrome/Windows 7 32 Bit Home/Comcast Wireless Router/Modem

Hi All,

I am having issues with my network suddenly. I can get online, and for the most part pages load after a few tries. But I am (always) getting the DNS errors/page will not load the first time within the past month.

Not to be a totally noob but I have updated my drivers, defrag if needed and clean browser history on a regular basis.

Let me know what you need to help me figure this issue out.

Thanks in advance.

Attached txt ipconfig/all // Ugh. Sorry, I was rushing that report and only got half. Hopefully this is correct.

The two dns servers you show, and belong to Comcast so that must be your ISP.

Try opening an elevated Command Prompt and entering ipconfig /flushdns, see if that helps.

Does the problem occur if you connect an Ethernet cable instead of using Wireless?

Hey Ztruker,

I ran the flush and Yes, I do have the same issue if hard connected.
However, I have Eset for a anti-virus which had found nothing. Looking over some of the other threads it was recommended to run Microsoft Essentials. So, I have been told to not run to anti virus programs due to canceling each other out, but I have downloaded ME just to see if would find anything. It did, a "hacktool // keygen?" Which I have removed. Could this be the issue? Once removed I restarted and thing appear to be faster, but, whenever I first start my system it is and then slowly lags out. After 10 minutes it is like the net is carrying ten loads of laundry. O.o
** Edit
After reading up on this, it was suggested to wipe out registry keys and other parts of my system that could be infected. Should I be looking for something else? M.E. was able to remove the threat, and I removed the whole program (Revo Unistaller - and I know I most likely did not need this program. I am just somewhat OCD on cleaning my system.)

Thanks for walking me through this. Although I am not a total noob, I'm still learning.

And always will be.

Lemme know whatcha think.

Thanks Again!

Run Malware Bytes Anti Malware (free) and see if it finds anything.

Does this happen if you boot to Safe Mode with Networking?
