Can't connect to shared folder in small office network

Hello everyone,
I 'm heaving this issue since last format , where I installed Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop.
In our office there is a server pc that shares a folder to everyone .
Everybody has access to this but not me .
I 've tried \\username , \\xxx.xxx.x.x\username , \\xxx.xxx.x.x
I have network discovery on ,have followed this suggestion Network Share not working through Windows 7 home premium - Microsoft Answers

"1 . Open registry editor ( Start search - regedit)
2 . Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
3. Create a new DWORD value with the following properties: NAME: LmCompatibilityLevel
VALUE: 1
4. Restart your PC and try the connection again...
"

but nothing seems to work .
Has anyone a solution to my problem ?

Please give me some advice
Thank you in advance
