Unable Remote Desktop - 3389 not open on router?
Trying to set up RDT using home desktop as computer to be connected to from my laptop. My remote settings are set up to allow RDT. Windows firewall is set to allow RDT. Port forwarding is set up in router for port 3389. Using correct public IP address. I can connect within my home network but not outside of it.
If I run the open port check tool, "CanYouSeeMe.org", it can't see my service on port 3389.....connection refused. I've tripled checked the router setup and can't seem to resolve this.
Using Comcast cable with Motorola 5150 cable modem and Linksys WRT54G router. Both PCs running windows 7 Pro.
