Another W7 vs XP networking issue

I have 3 computers connected via a router. A desktop running windows 7(lan cable), a desktop running XP (lan cable) and a laptop running XP (wireless).

Both XP machines can access the W7 machine and edit/view files. The W7 desktop can access the XP desktop. But the W7 desktop CAN NOT access the XP laptop. I receive the following message.

"Documents is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of the server to find out if you have access permissions.

Not enough server storage is available to process this command"

I have tried a few things including the IRPStackSize regedit that msft goes on about, but I still can’t get it working.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah, all of those are enabled.

Simple file sharing enabled, guest accounts currently disabled (Tried subsonic's suggestion above), Local users authenticating as guest.

with simple file sharing enabled, only Guest or anonymous users can access the shared folders. I would disable it.

One way to fix this is to create the same username and password on each computer, then login using that.

It is hard to explain all the various options, which is why I asked for Teamviewer access to your XP box. But it's getting late for me, so we'll have to do it tomorrow if you want.

ok cool. Ill look into this Teamview thing later coz I have to go to work now.

Also, I already have the username and password set the same for both computers.

but simple file sharing will prevent you from logging in with usernames and passwords over the network

and we still have to check share and file system permissions.
