2 Computers on Network only 1 can utilize.

I have 2 computers, 1 a old desktop running on-board lan using a wired connection to my router. my laptop using wireless connection to my router. Router is a linksys wrt110. Ive had the problem for years and it wasn't much of a issue. The desktop orginally ran Vista x64 and my other computer ran XP so i just figured it was a problem between the two OS, But now both systems run 7 and now i still have the same problem.

The problem is initally this: My desktop can access my laptop but my laptop cannot access my desktop. Ive triple checked all network setting, made sure all sharing options are checked, made sure im in the same workgroup. But when I try to access my desktop via my laptop i get "Windows cannot access \\0320-pc" "You do not have permission to access \\0320-PC. Contact my network administrator." Kinda lost on what to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated. If any extra information is needed just ask and ill get it asap.

Hi Mellwin and Welcome to Seven Forums,

Can you please post an ipconfig /all output of both computers?
How to run an ipconfig /all?

If you have any Security or Firewall Software installed, disable them for now.

Once you have find out the IP of each computer, instead of accessng the computer name use the IP Address of the the computer, for example - \\192.168.2.5\Sharedfolder
You are also missing the Share folder name, the correct one is - \\0320-pc\Sharedfolder
when I try to access my desktop via my laptop i get "Windows cannot access \\0320-pc" "You do not have permission to access \\0320-PC. Contact my network administrator."
