Home wireless network speed so slow

Hi all.

I bought a new laptop two days ago and I setup filezilla server on my PC so I could share files between my laptop downstairs in my house and my desktop PC in my bedroom. When I first set it up it was great, getting the normal speed you would expect from a wireless n connection. Today no matter what I try the speed will not go over 745Kb/s or there about, It never reaches 800Kb/s.

Can anyone give me some advice on how I can get my home network working properly again?

I have used different apps and there all the same, giving the same speeds. uTorrent is the same, I tried different ftp servers like RadianFTPD with FlashFXP & FTPRush.

Im at a loss guys any help would be so appreciated.....

Welcome to Seven Forums.

If the maximum speed is 800 and you are getting around 745 then it is running at over 93% efficiency which is not bad at all. Please carry the laptop to the bedroom to check if the speed improves. If it does there may transmission losses that may have appeared due to various reasons.
