"Windows did not detect any networking hardware"

I recently had to reinstall windows, and now have no programs. Tried to get online to get my McAfee installed and got the error of no connections detected. When I try to set up a connection I get "windows did not detect any networking hardware".... HELP!

How did you do the reinstall ? Do you have a retail version of the OS and did a clean install, or do you have a preinstalled version and used the method they gave you to take it back to factory settings ?

You haven't given us any details about the machine so it would help the experts if you told them what make and model machine it is and is it a desktop or laptop. Perhaps you need to install the drivers for your machine, did you get them on a CD ?

Don't forget we can't see your machine so need as many details as possible so we can help you solve your problem.

HI. I have the same problem. I have a laptop, Samsung S3520, WIndows 7. Had to reinstall OS from a CD, as the whole system crashed. Now get the same message: Windows did not detect any networking hardware. Could anybody help with this? thanks so much.
