| | Dns Cache ipv4 and ipv6 hey guys, i've been wondering about this. Say that my windows box already has an entry for ip address of some host , say host A , in dns cache. The ip address format is in version 4 (IPv4). But then, i'm connected to IPv6 and IPv4 capable networks. As i know, if windows has 2 type of ip connection, IPv6 and IPv4, it will default use the IPv6. so my question is, will my box try to resolv the ip address of host A for IPv6 address, or will it simply use the IPv4 one in dns cache,, thanks, best regards |
