Windows 7: Wireless indicator drops to 4/5 even if real signal is 5/5

hi guys,

i noticed that sometimes wifi signal on my home wireless drops to 4/5 and happens often that it doesn't show back 5/5 even if i move the PC and is only 20 cms from the router (just as now).. if i just disconnect and reconnect after a few seconds it will show 5/5 or if i restart the computer as well.

when i check the wireless stations available, mine shows 5/5 though and connected...so what's the deal?

Hi Gabrio,

Is your Wi-Fi adapter's driver up to date? Might want to see if there's a most recent driver.

Also, please download, install and run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector from your computer. Double click the Xirrus Icon on your Desktop, Tap the Printscreen key on your keyboard, open up Paint then choose Edit from the Menu and select Paste, then SAVE it. Upload and attached the file here.

actually i already installed the latest drivers from Intel's website and as for the WiFi inspector i will give it a shot! though i was thinking that there's so many wireless network around our house, that could be the reason for this behaviour....
