Windows 7: Media Keys & Remote Desktop

Media Keys & Remote Desktop

I frequently use Remote Desktop from home to manage servers at work. I also like to listen to music or watch movies on another monitor while doing this.

A frequent issue is that I have to move the focus away from an active RD session to use the Media Keys (volume / mute / etc).

I would love it if there were a way to tell the RD client to not forward the Media Keys to the remote computer, but instead keep them local on my workstation.

Anyone know of a registry hack or undocumented RD setting to achieve this?

Thanks

Neither the local resources tab or any other settings tab has any way of preventing the Media Keys (or any other key) from being forwarded to the remote computer. That's why I'm looking for a registry hack or a undocumented .RDP file option to achieve this.

That's what my own research had lead me to believe. But, I figured it was worth a try on the off-chance someone knew something that Google did not.
