IPv6 internet connection problem

I am using a dir-825 [ver:B1 firmware version:2.07NA] router with IPv6 in IPv4 tunneling.

I decided to use the private scope
  • IPv4 --- 10.0.0.0/8
  • IPv6 --- fc01:a4:b9:d16::/64
I disabled DHCP-PD and enabled automatic IPv6 address assignment.
Autoconfiguration type is set to stateful DHCPv6.

An Ubuntu computer configures well with the Dir-825 router and test-ipv6.com confirms this.
Alias on windows 7 the test fails!!
  1. Local area Connection Status for IPv6 connectivity: No internet access
  2. Curiously when l click on the detail tab on the Status dialog box. I get the following:-
    • IPv6 address: fc01:a4:b9:d16::1
    • The lease expiration is way off. It shows a 2hrs 38 min 2 secs for the obtained time. On the router the lease time was set for 16 mins. l know this IPv6 address lifetime is really low.
    • Link-local IPv6 address does exist!
    • IPv6 Default Gateway displays the link-local IPv6 of the Dir-825!! { Is this what it is suppose to display? I thought with would be fc01:a4:b9:d16::6481 which was assigned to the router}
    • DNS IPv6 addresses are all correct!!

Help me or anyone that may later experience this problem!
What is going on with Windows 7 ultimate -32bit?
