OK did you do anything to the nic config, like bridging it? lets forget abt the dump we can figure it out later but we gotta get you running. Lets look in device manager for the nic driver. Is it listed and working properly, or is it an unknown device?

ok this is getting serious now more lame ass Disconnects

my comp has frozen 2 times when i go to do something with the "network" settings or what not

also if i change a setting in the device manager network settings if my "cable is unplugged" as the troubleshooter wants to call it the device will come up with a caution symbol saying the device will not start which either causes a Freeze or i have to reboot.

Also i check my event viewer log and its giving me all these

Performance power management features on processor 1 in group 0 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.

ranging from 0-7 my CPU is a Intel Core i7 950

some more errors god i hope these help

Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x001FBC018609. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.

Name resolution for the name dns.msftncsi.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

Have you flashed the BIOS on your mobo? It could be the that current BIOS is not compatible with seven. This sounds like an error with the network card on it. Have you installed the mobo drivers? Specifically the ones for the network adapter?

This is a bios setting that will change when you upgrade your BIOS firmware.

All told you have bios errors, and nic config errors. Fix the BIOS first and it might fix the nic config. Let us know when you do the bios upgrade.
