Router keeps losing internet connection and needs resetting.

I know that a lot of people aren't fans of the Virgin Media super hub, but I am not here slamming it as I don't think it is a problem with the hub itself, i think it may be something else.

For the last few days of an evening after downloading large amounts of data using Bit-torrent i.e. 70GB, I keep losing my internet connection. I need to turn my super-hub on and off again, but it will keep losing the connection. I have noticed that if I exit Bit-torrent then I don't lose my connection, but I am not sure whether this is just a coincidence. Is this because of the amount of data I am downloading using Bit-torrent and my super-hub is turning off the connection on purpose or is this something else?

    Does anyone have any answers?

Try taking out the battery of the router and let it sit for an hour and then try to use it again.

    No battery in my router.

Problem sorted, I needed to do a hard reset of the Router as the firmware seemed to be having serious disagreements with Bit-torrent.

Other people had said the hub was crashing because it couldn't handle the number of connections, but even if I reduced the connections to 50 down and 50 up it would still crash.
