Need help DLNA and LG Home Theatre

I have been reading numerous guides, have had partial success, but now no success at all.

Win 7 Pro
LG Blu-Ray Home Theatre.

Have a wireless router which works (backup data to Linux box in spare room.)
Have setup network on LG (static IP) - tests OK, does see my PC in list of Video sources.
Checked in LG manual for acceptable video formats and have a few (short) videos in various formats in a folder.
No homegroup.
Streaming switched on in Advanced sharing settings.
Folder with test videos is shared with Everyone (Read).
Reset router everytime I make ANY change on PC.

When I select PC as video source, it scans forever. (Does the same if I try to view any photos as well.)

Tried using Nero MediaHome which came with LG, but it gives not permitted with everything. Besides, Win 7 should not need it.
