| | Sugested PCI NIC For Windows 7 Dear Friends, I have a friend that need to buy a inexpensive PCI NIC that Windows 7 will recognize, he have an old Amptron mobo with an integrated SIS900 eithernet chip that we cannot get to work with 7. It work fine with XP though. | | Have you tried the XP drivers? I have had luck with other devices using the xp drivers in Windows 7. |

| | If you could get the current nic working would you want to? there are many vendors using that chipset and drivers (at least XP) are available and might work if installed in compatibility mode Ken |

| | As far as a cheap PCI NIC that I know for sure works; Newegg.com - Intel PWLA8391GT 10/ 100/ 1000Mbps PCI PRO/1000 GT Desktop Adapter 1 x RJ45 - Network Interface Cards These Intel 10/100/1000GT cards work for almost everything. Windows, Linux, and server based things like OpenFiler and VMWare ESXi. And they are under $30. |
