For N class routers you definitely want to go with WPA2 and AES encryption. The older security like WPA/WEP and TKIP can't work at full wireless N speeds.

There is a noticeable difference in wireless N speeds when using the correct security, encryption and settings. Using the correct settings is the only way to achieve full wireless N speeds of 300Mbps. Most people aren't aware of this.

You will also want to use the 802.11N Only' setting in the routers wireless set up page. This assumes that you don't have any wireless G or older clients. Using the mixed settings means that the router needs to slow down in order to "talk to" older wireless standards like 802.11g, b, a.

Just make sure the same router settings are used when you set up the wireless profile in Windows.
