Router problem
I'm trying to help my in-laws who live abroad in the country and have a wireless netgear router, an hp computer running windows 7, a toshiba computer, and an iPad! They had a wireless network which worked fine, till my father-in-law bought an hp computer running windows 7 which he connected up to the Internet no problem, apparently. And wirelessly. Then, my mother-in-law tried to connect her iPad and the only visible network was one with my f-i-l's name and hp written after it, not their original network. He has a Broadcom wireless card and we've tried to delete the Broadcom wireless utility, but it's still showing and not their original network which had run fine for over a year.
I'm not sure how to help them. Could this be an hp problem, or is there something wrong with their Internet, or is there something that is easily changed in the windows 7 system to allow access through their old wifi network as before? It's clearly my f-i-l's computer that's thrown the system out. Thanks, and sorry if this isn't the right forum for this
