How do I setup own VPN server???

    Hi all,
I'm currently working in china right now for quite a while now.
The great firewall of china restricted a lot of sites, news, facebook, YouTube etc etc

    I was wondering,
Can my computer in china( Beijing) connect to my cousins router in hong kong...using his ip/network and browse the web, like setting up his network as VPN server??(I'm guessing that's what VPN is !??? Sorry for being noob)

    Long story short,
Can I reroute my ip to hong kong cousins ip? So I can freely surf the web???

Hi, ching1206! For better resilts you need a server OS, like Windows Server, however, it is possible to set up a VPN even on Windows 7. Very detailed step-by-step manual is here: Setup VPN Server Windows 7
Keep in mind there is also one connection at the same time possible if running on Windows 7, but for your cousin's computer that could be just enough. Do not hesitate to ask any questions if you have!
