Windows 7: Unable to connect to mobile device

Unable to connect to mobile device

I have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. I would like to be able to access this device from my Windows 7 PC using programs such as Kies Air. Unfortunately this only seems to work intermittently - when I load the required URL I get a timeout - eg: "The server at 192.168.2.28 is taking too long to respond"

I have tried to ping my Galaxy Tab (192.168.2.28) from my Windows 7 machine (192.168.2.20) and get the following:

C:\Users\robert>ping 192.168.2.28

Pinging 192.168.2.28 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.2.20: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 192.168.2.20: Destination host unreachable.

This looks wrong - the reply is coming from my PC and not my Galaxy Tab.

Can somebody suggest a solution here?
