Accessing the shared resource on the XP from Windows 7 [new]

HI

I have two networked computers belonging to the same workgroup: one with Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit and the other with Windows XP Pro SP3.

On the XP computer, I shared a folder allowing only the access to the Administrators group.

Now, from Windows 7, I can see this shared folder, but when I try to use it, the no authorization message is displayed.

Why the Login window is not displayed?

THANKS

BYE

In the first image, you'll see the permissions of the shared folder on the XP computer:

While, in the following images, you'll see what is displayed on the Windows 7 computer when I try to access the shared folder:

Where I'm wrong?

Thanks

Hello! I can see that your computer is set to a language I can't read, but I will try my best. Before you select 'Administrators' group, Click on Add (Aggiungi) and in the box (objects), type in your username. Give full control to it and see if it works. If you can't understand what I am saying, then tell me and I will post an image on how to do it. Thank you.

This method does not work because I get the same error of the last image.

In other words, when, from the Windows 7 computer, I click on the XP computer, the Login window is not displayed. Why?

Thanks

Maybe it was because the XP computer has set the folder to private. Try changing that and tell me how it works. Thank you
