Unable to open network connections folder

hi all,
i have a problem with entering the network connections folder.
When i try to enter it from Controlpannel/network and internet/network and sharing center, i can click on the link manage network connections but windows doesn't respond at all.
i also tryed entering controlpannel/network and internet/network connections in the navigation bar, resulting in an error message saying it cannot find controlpannel/network and internet/network connections.

i really hope somebody can help me out here,

Try clicking the Start Orb and type ncpa.cpl and click on it when it appears. Does that bring up the page you're looking for?

Restore your system using the option of 'system restore' to default. Now you can open network connections folder.

this is indeed the page i'm looking for, on my laptop this shortcut is working just fine but on my desktop nothing really happens

that's going to be my last resort if there are other options i'd like to try them first

You might try running sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt to check/repair system files. See SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

i'm working with this right now i guess there where multiple errors in my system, running it for the thirth time now, but i think this will indeed fix my promblem,

well i'm starting to believe my os is pretty much ****ed up, i've runned the scannow command for about 15 to 20 times now, and it still finds problems -.-

Too many times, not likely to do you any good. Although I do have to ask if it's progressing further along on each run. There was a mention of a System Restore in a previous post. It's a worthwhile endeavor as it works very well.

If you're looking for a repair or reinstall let us know, or check out the tutorials for doing this on this site. Very well written and accurate.
