Wifi connection issues

I recently purchased the Dell XPS 14z and it has been working fine, however when I take it out to work (where there's no wifi connections) a red 'x' now appears on the wifi icon in the task tray. Usually it just shows an orange star and is essentially 'pending' connections.

When I try and use my BlackBerry Bold 9900 to connect using the mobile internet it says that it can't connect as the wifi radio may be off? This hasn't happened before and I've tried everything to troubleshoot it with no luck.

Thanks

Windows 7 laptop WiFi connection issues
I've run into a really annoying issue with my Toshiba laptop running Windows 7. It uses the Realtek 8192E wireless NIC. I recently (in January) ditched my WRT610N router for a Netgear WNDR3700. The WRT610N got hit by a surge in December, and started losing its settings every few days, and...

My wifi connection has sucked since the day they installed it, but only option unless I go back to dial up or switch back to Hughes net and boy it doesn't take long to exceed 300 MB in a 24 hour period, so Hughes net is OUT. Anyways, so far I love Windows 7 until I have to deal with restarting...
