You could power cycle the router and modem and see if that fixes it. Unplug both for 30 seconds. Plug the modem back in, wait a couple minutes and then plug the router back in. Since the modem and router are your parents, ask first.

Any solution you find needs to encompass all of the issues your other devices have, not just the laptop. It's possible that all of your devices suddenly developed similar issues, but I highly doubt that's the issue. When troubleshooting multiple devices at the same time, you have to look for things all devices share - and in this case it's the router and/or modem.

Our modem runs on batteries. I don't know if this is a common fact, but if we do happen to turn off and turn back on our modem, it'll reset our whole connection. Although it could be a solution to my issue, it's not worth the time. She'll have to edit the settings of the connection as it was before, such as the password, connection name, etc. It's another last resort, behind of the whole "computer factory reset" method.

In your good statement, I believe you're right. If the issue had been solved on my laptop, then it would've been solved on all my other devices. Thank you.
