using TFTP to network with win 7 to install Xp on a toshiba M200 help

Hi I have this Toshiba M200 that does not have an Optical drive, so I'm using a cross over cable to connect the Laptop to my Win 7 PC to install XP from the Win 7's CD ROM.
I am using these instructions How to Install Vista on a M200 without a CD Drive using TFTP | RyanTAdams.com and when I get to #3 where is says
You will be prompted for a user name. Type, “\192.168.1.5\User Name” replacing “User Name” with the name of a user account on the computer with the shared CD-Rom drive.
I am trying to install windows XP to a notebook via the network boot PXE method. Everything seems to be going ok expect when i go to enter my password to get into the machine to copy the files.

It works until i enter: net use y: \\192.168.1.5\cd
and i get a line that say's : the password is invalid for \\192.168.1.5\cd (followed immediately by a prompt that says)
Enter the user name for '192.168.1.5': ( i do this and next comes the password option)
    Enter the password for '192.168.1.5:

At this point the keyboard no longer works, i cannot hit any buttons on the keyboard besides enter, and when i do, this is the error message i get:

The user context supplied is invalid
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3775
    please help

An alternative would be to create a XP installable USB Flash drive.

Also, using the tftp method, did you set the network adapter on your computer to have a static IP address of 192.168.1.5?

Well I made a username & password for the server and that worked but then there was another problem that I found out at number 3 I kept getting an error so instead of typing "\192.168.1.5\User Name" I typed "192.168.1.5\User Name" with the latter back slash and I got in. But then there was another problem lol the install windows XP was grayed out. So I gave up lol but really if that wasn't grayed out I'm sure everything would have been great.

    3. You will be prompted for a user name. Type, “\192.168.1.5\User Name” replacing “User Name” with the name of a user account on the computer with the shared CD-Rom drive.
