Windows 7: ipconfig, media disconnected

Hi All, ............. In Windows 7 I have two sata hard drives that I usually run with either one as a image backup and disconnected. When disk one is operating I can't get on the internet. With disk one disconnected and disk two operating I can use the internet. For each of these disks I get the "media disconnected" message when using ipconfig.

Making an internet connection with disk one is my problem. Because I have forgotten how to set up the internet connection the ipconfig is as far as I can go. Can any one provide some guidance as how to fix my disk one problem?

Hi All, ................ Apparently I had a flakey router because when I changed to a different router the problem went away.
