    Wi Fi

I have cable internet and I have a laptop with wi fi so I bought a wireless n router. The problem is that I do not know how to make a connection to router. I connect ethernet cabal from Cabel Internet modem to the wireless router. I'm looking for Wi-Fi network with a laptop and I find wi-fi network named tenda-(and some numbers) and click connect and windows open window for rigging the router. Search for the router code that is written on the router and I enter it, opens the window for the router name and password I enter all the information. I connect to the Wi-Fi network and when I open my browser it opens 192.168.0.1 page and here I have to put some information but I dont know what to put. Router guide came for setup ADSL internet. My Cabel Internet mode is Motorola surfboard SB5101E Cabel modem and wireless router is Tenda 150Mbps Wireless N router w316R. Can u help me to setup my router via Wi-Fi on my laptop. Thanks in forward

Welcome to the Seven Forums, AstroMax. While it is not very difficult to connect a Wi-Fi Router to a computer, it might be tricky for a newbee.

I would therefore suggest that you get a knowledgeable friend to do it for you. In the process you shall also learn how to do it yourself the next time.

If however you are an addicted DIY person then read at http://www.dummies.com/how-to/conten...Id-323046.html. There are many other sites on the Net that tell how to do it.

If you can post a screen shot of the routers wireless set up page we can tell you exactly what to put in the little boxes.

You basically just need to create the SSID "name of network" and come up with a decent wireless connection password, then choose wireless N Only if you want full wireless N speeds, choose WPA personal WPA2 for security then AES encryption usually works best with Windows 7 drivers.

After that it's just a matter of setting up the wireless profile in the wireless connection manager in Windows with settings that match. :)

Yes in the video it looked like you were trying to connect before defining the wireless settings.

Looks like you have it figured out now. :)
