Hiya, Seven Forums.
Well, I got Windows 7 RC (32bit) a few months ago, and I thought it was perfect. I loved it.. Until I installed some games.. I don't seem to have a lag browsing the internet, but when it comes to games I have a higher ping then I should. (I live on the west coast, and when I should be getting 10-30, I'll get 100ms to USW servers.)
Not only do I have a higher ping than usual, it will jump every few seconds anywhere from 100-300ms. Not only do I find that odd, but the lag is worse when using the Source Engine. (Counterstrike, Day of Defeat, Left 4 Dead)
When using the Source Engine I get anywhere from 100-800ms spikes, along with my framerate being drastically lower (10-40fps instead of 200fps compared to XP.)
I upgraded to Build 7600 (RTM, 32bit), and I still have the same issues. I've tried disabling Nagle's Algorithm, and turning off IPv6, but to no resolution.
Does anyone have a theory on what could be wrong?
