2 win7 pc's can view each others "locations" but windows cannot access
Hello all, i have just updated my media pc to win7 with a new motherboard and now not only am i confused by the new share system but i have a problem access a shared folder.
my setup
1 main pc and one media pc (htpc) both are connected to a router via cables (not wireless).
my aim was to put a shared folder on the htpc to transfer files to.
i can share a folder on the original/main pc and access it via the new/htpc pc. but i cant share something on the new pc and access it via the original. when ever i try i get a 'windows cannot access...' 'contact you network administrator' message. im assuming it has something to do with permissions.
i have windows security enabled. no other firewalls or antivirus.
im not experienced with networking. is there anything im missing here?
