    Simple Network backup options

I searched and didn't really find anything that answered my question.
The details: I have 3 desktop PC's and a laptop. One of the desktops is currently setup as a server with 10tb of storage space. All of the computers run on the same network.
Question: I would like to be able to automatically backup personal data (photos, downloads, documents) to the server.

I tried SyncToy but kept running into problems with my passwords. It is a secure network but there is more than just me using it so my personal computers are all password protected so that other people on the network can't access them.
I would like to stay away from "cloud: type storage as I have more than enough storage space on my server, plus I would like to avoid having to transfer files to and from the internet as my bandwidth has a monthly useage cap.

Have you tried using the built in Windows 7 file recovery?

You can set it up to automatically create system images or just save images of user files such as photos, downloads, or documents depending on how you set it up. You can save the images to any networked drives.

Unfortunately Windows 7 Home does not allow for backup over network. That option is only available in 7 Pro, Ultimate, and one other.

I'd say an upgrade to one of the other Windows 7 versions would be worth while though there are other third party programs that can do this I'm not sure if the limitations of the Home version will keep them from working or not.

I can attest to that, even the al mighty Acronis just doesn't compare to simple windows 7 image backup to network attached storage. Especially when it comes time to actually recovering the data.

Finally found what I was looking for, FreeSync. I can create a bat file that I just add to the task scheduler and thats it. it compares all the selected folders and moves only new or modified files from the laptop and the desktop to the server.
