Windows 7: Droping Wireless Signal

Droping Wireless Signal

I recently purchased a new Gateway desktop (i5, 64 bit) and it keeps dropping the wireless signal. I use a Verizon hotspot (4Glte) as my wifi device. Previously I used a Dell desktop (Windows XP) and had no problems using the same wifi device. I could hook up once in the a.m. and it would stay connected all day. I do believe the problem lies with the Gateway/Windows 7 system. When I try to reconnect I get a msg that says "Windows unable to connect". If I re-cycle the wifi device it will then make the connection ....... as least for awhile.

I do have a iPad2 in the house and I can use it even when the new desktop drops the signal, times-out, etc. so I don't think it is a wifi device problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. There must be some settings on this new PC but I'm not sure where to find them, or what to do if I did. Thank you for your assistance,
