    Windows 7 internet drop outs

Okay, this is a weird issue... and I just cant figure out what the problem could be.

I am running dual OS, XP and W7 RC. There are 2 computers on our home network running thru a modem router. DUring our off peak time, we run utorrent on one system. If i try to use the internet on the other system, when im in W7 the internet constantly drops out, however if im in XP, it runs fine, it's just slow. duh.

I cannot figure out why it would drop out in W7 but not XP. I have checked all the IP settings etc, and there is nothign obvious that would cause this.

When it drops out, it seems to lock up the router too, so we have to reset it at the point. We cannot access the router at all.

We thought it could have been the power pack on the router... so we tried a new power pack, no difference.

We thought it could have been out ISP (goddamn exetel ) and although we have speed issues, we cannot find anything wrong on that side of things.

We are getting telstra to check our line, haven't heard back from them.

But the thing is, it would appear that it;s something to do with W7 or my settings in W7 coz it's not dropping out in XP.

It is incredibly frustrating, because i love W7 but it looks like ill have to go back to XP

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!

    Cheers, Kat

What type of router do you have? Because my issue was that my router didn't like Windows 7.
