    No networks appearing -

Basically I had to replace my hard drive in my HP Pavilion which had Windows 7 home premium on it originally.

I bought the same hard-drive as was in there to start with, to be safe, then I downloaded home premium from the link on this website - How to Install Windows 7 Without the Disc | PCWorld - Followed the instructions and installed the 64bit version on my computer without a hitch. That was until I tried connecting to the internet and no connections available.

This puzzled me because there were two other computers on the network (one cable and one wireless) and my wireless had worked perfectly before. I've tried lots of different solutions but nothing has worked so far. After this I tried the 32bit, which had the same problem.

Any help would be really, really appreciated and I can provide any other info or screen shots if needed.

Welcome to the forum Jamzz! Did you setup your home network and turn on file and printer sharing? Are you using a router, security properties for router and machine must match.

You never mentioned if you went to the HP site to obtain the most current drivers for your HP Pavilion notebook. When it says no connections are available that usually means the driver isn't installed.

Installing the correct drivers from the HP site would be the first step I would take. The link below will get you there. The drivers for your machine are only for 64 bit.

Once the correct driver is installed it's just a matter of going to the network and sharing center then to the left you will see the "Manage Wireless Connections" where you type in the correct security and encryption and what ever other settings you have in your router for the wireless connection. I'm just assuming that you are using the wireless connection.

Thanks for pointing me the right way, installed the right drivers and now everything is working and could not be happier, been struggling with it for two days.

Just wished I had come straight here in the first place (but then I guess I wouldn't of learnt so much ).
