High pings, gaming / downloading
Hi ive been with virgin media for 6 years an never had a problem at all, had one modem aswell. 3 week ago my new router broke after having it for 2 years so they sent us a superhub. After what i heard about the superhub i decided to just use the modem an buy a new router.
3 week later my router broke. I rang virgin up an they said it's the router so i put the superhub in. I had tons of problems with it so i bought yet another router a netgear n600 wich is what im using now.
Ive had nothing but problems with the new superhub. I rang virgin up an they told me it's because of traffic management. Never had that problem with my old webstar modem.
Also i cant download proper, my upload speed it terrible, i cant play games proper because of high pings. On certain games my pings are reaching over 600.
If i download a movie or something i have to wait a few hours before i can play a game an even then the pings are still too high.
Any advice ? i might leave virgin after 6 years, rediculous.
Is sky any better for downloading an gaming ?
Sorry for long post an thanks alot to anyone who helps i appreciate it.
