Download speed goes down when uploading?

Hi All,

Trying everything I could from preventing windows 7 to freeze (and in the end it was upping the voltage on my i7 920 to 1.3 Volt that did the trick ) I now suddenly have my download speed dropping when uploading at the same time.

This never was the case before and my 1mbit upload and 8mbit download always worked together like a charm.

Only thing I did was disabling the IP Helper service once, but that services is up and running again from a couple of reboots ago..

Anyone have any ideas on what I should check to get my upload and download working at the same time again?

Try running your upload / download application in safe mode with networking and see if that solves the issue - if it does some driver or security application may be tampering with your connection.

You could also try to update your upload / download application - if you are using an application - if you are uploading to FTP or HTTP it may be AV / FW or Driver related.
