Internet Connection Issues, Not router related I recently got a new laptop, running Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit. I've been having connectivity issues with the internet, and it doesn't seem to be related to the router, as the same issue happens on different wireless networks.
The majority of the time when I wake up my computer from sleep, it won't be automatically connecting to my home network, even though it's set to. When I try and connect, it does the whole "windows is taking an unusually long time to connect" deal. To solve it I usually go through troubleshoot. It doesn't find any problems (other than Hamachi IP issue, but this problem persisted before I downloaded Hamachi, and it doesn't seem to affect anything). Once troubleshoot finishes, it's usually about a minute or two later when it magically connects.
Sometimes the internet disconnects right in the middle of me doing something, and to solve this I usually turn the switch on the front to turn off all wireless, wait a few seconds and turn it back on, and this usually solves the problem, for the time being.
Another point that I might add, my computer came with Intel My Wifi Technology, and it currently says "Network Adapter Not Found", when I'm pretty sure it used to recognize an adapter. I'm not familiar with the program as it wasn't installed on my last system, so I'm not entirely sure about this one.
If you can provide any help, or need more information, please let me know! | My System Specs |

I'm assuming that the PC in question is a laptop. Do you have all the MS updates? Next would be to update your wireless adaptor manually, that is either from your PC's support/download web page or straight from the wireless adaptor venders web page. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS4 Memory GSkill 4 X 2 GB PC 8500 Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD 6790 D Sound Card On board RealTek HD Monitor(s) Displays Dual monitors:Samsung SyncMaster S20B300 Screen Resolution 1600 X 900 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Razor DeathAdder PSU Ultra X4 750 watt fully modular Case Thermaltake Overseer RX 1 full tower Cooling Core-Contact 92 mm CPU Cooler Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 1TB (primary)

internet connection problem if the internet connection problem happens most of the time and in most networks, the problem is with your computer.Your wirelessadapter might not be receiving enough signal to secure a connection at a level enough to establish a connection, that's why it is hard to connect and would sometimes just disconnect.Try to relocate your computer to a nearer distance and see if anything would change. Also, try to set-up your network connection again to see if everything was set-up properly . here is a guide on how to do it How to set up wireless connection? | Techyv.com
another solution is to optimize your wireless adapter to distance instead of bandwidth so that even at far, you can have decent connection signal | My System Specs | | |

The Op should also try uninstalling the Intel networking software and use the Windows wireless connection manager for the wireless connection.
It would also help to uninstall any type of trial anti virus that came preinstalled on the lap top along with any other bloatware that might be found. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8 Pro, CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 |

OP here, on another laptop... I took your advice and uninstalled Hamachi, and then proceeded to uninstall "Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software". Problem is, now my laptop isn't recognizing any way to wirelessly connect.
Any advice? The only option under "connect to the internet" is Broadband (PPPoE).
EDIT: I did a system restore to go back to what I originally had; is there another way for me to get rid of the Intel software without uninstalling the wireless driver completely?
