Upgraded to Win7 Ultimate and now i can't connect to the internet.

I updated to windows 7 ultimate and installed my previous wireless adapters driver and it is all set up fine. But when i click either connect inside the Netgear Genie window (i have a netgear adapter) or the windows connectivity icon i can not connect it says "connecting" brings up the loading icon and then it will say "windows can not connect to this wireless system" I have turned my computer of and back on again, My router of and on again, I have reinstalled my adapter drivers, restored my computer i have tried everything and as usual windows troubleshooting didn't help please help!

What is the model number of the Netgear adapter? Have you looked on the Netgear site for a Windows 7 driver for it?

    What did you update FROM?

Use following procedure to update your system specs. My favorite program for this purpose is SPECCY.

    Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
    (left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
    Manufacturer and Model and
ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
    For example:
    Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
    MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

You will find that in Speccy, you can select info from the display
using your mouse/touchpad and then paste that info into your specs.

SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
    this capability.
