Too many tunnel adapters on ipconfig

Can someone tell me why is that when I do an ipconfig /all to get a look at my wireless network settings in the command module that I get a bunch of tunnel adapters? I used to do an ipconfig and it would just show whether there was an ethernet connection or wirless LAN connection and a Windows adapter as well. What could be causing all the tunnel adapters to display?

Poorly written drivers that don't clean up after they finish with them.

They are typically caused from reconnection attempts which is usually due to an out of date network driver.

When there are enough of those tunnel adaptors it will cause DNS errors or dropped connections.

Fortunately I have a file that will remove them for you automatically. :)

Save and unzip then run the file.

Chev65, I extracted the files and opened each one of the files in the folders but the tunnel adapters are still there. What am I doing wrong?

Just extract and run the file, either 64 bit or 32 bit depending on your system. You should see the dos prompt pop up for a second when it runs.

You can also delete them manually by going into Device Manager, go up to "view" then choose "show hidden devices" you will see them all there in network adaptors where you can delete or uninstall them all.
