How to connect to same network on one router

    Hi there,

I work in a small office and use a laptop with Windows 7. We use the same router and have wired internet. His computer is connected to a "Network 4" while mine is connected to the private wireless internet system we've set up. He can't connect to any other connections on his computer while all the other connections around our office is visible on my laptop. What can I do to get my boss on my network so we can share files? Thank you!

Network 4 is just the name given to the network connection on his computer. It is the same network the rest of you connect to.

Do this on your system and on his. Post results for both:

Click on Start then Run or press Window key (next to left Ctrl key) +R and paste the following into the Run box, exactly as shown, including double quotes:

    cmd /c "ipconfig /all > postme.txt & ping yahoo.com >> postme.txt & notepad postme.txt & del postme.txt"

    and press ENTER.

A file will open in Notepad. Please copy and paste the contents here. Close the Notepad window and the file will be deleted and the Command Prompt window will also close.

If you don't have a Run selection off the Start menu, see here: Enable Run Command on Windows 7 or Vista Start Menu
