ad hoc and ICS on Windows 7 PC?

    What I have:

Toshiba Laptop (windows 7)-------(ethernet cable connected, with a free wifi card)

HP Pavilion (windows 7)-----------(USB Wifi adapter)

    iPhone

On the toshiba, i made an ad hoc, and enabled ics. My iPhone connects to internet through it, but my hp won't...

I'm kind of at a dead end, and I'm not sure what to do.

I heard some talk about bridging the network adapters or something, and making sure the ip address match or something like that. Can someone explain this in as simple a way as possible?

I'm trying to get my HP Pavillion to connect to internet via the laptops ad hoc (ICS enabled). My iphone has no problem connecting to it...

You might want to check out the other options for creating a shared wireless connection in the thread below. They should all be more reliable than an Ad Hoc network.

Troubles setting up wireless ad hoc network

You followed some good advice is what happened, connectify is pretty decent software but it still requires a Windows 7 certified driver which installs Microsoft virtual WiFi miniport adaptor, once you have that there was no reason for it not to work. problem solved. :)
