suddenly lost printer connection but still have internet

DV6700US seems to have lost the wireless network connection. A sudden failure to print gave me a printer offline message. My iMac printed fine, then I realized my iMac could not see the laptop and the laptop could not see the iMac nor printer, but still has internet connection on the laptop. I now nothing about Windows 7. Please help.

    Welcome to the forum.

It would help the experts if you posted more details about your set up, don't forget they can't see what you have so need as much information as possible to be able to help you.

Please give all details, make, model of the machines in question and how they all connect, with all the necessary details there will be someone who can help you.

My network consist of an iMac (OS 10.6.8) with ethernet to the wireless router which also has the Samsung printer (SCX-3405FW) plugged in. Recently bought the printer and installed it. Tested it with the iMac and the HP laptop (DV6700US) (Windows 7 Home Premium) and all is fine for about two weeks. The other day went to print from laptop and printer queue showed "Error - Printer offline." Went to the iMac and it printed fine. All this time I am getting internet connection via the network. I then realized that the HP was not showing up on the network.
Checking the HP network shows the HP....modem........internet. Map all shows the iMac and the printer, at the bottom, but says "the following discovered devices can not be placed in the map"

No changes, updates, additions nor deletions of software have been made since the install of the printer. Why all of a sudden and how do I fix it. I know nothing about Windows (it's the wife's laptop), so talk slow please.

    thanks
