Printer is USB wired to desktop. When I sent a print job to HP laser jet 1018 will not print until restart desktop computer. I believe I must have something set wrong. I just have not been able to find what is wrong. Laptop and desktop are both running windows 7 64 bit. I would be thankfull for any advice. It did fine when I had XP laptop. I am wondering if it has something to homegroup?

Is the printer shared on the host computer, and on the other computers set as default printer ? Also from my own experience with HP printer I had to download a update from HP that fixed communication errors.

Thank you to Grego86
Yes it is default on both & shared on the host. I have downloaded an update on the host computer & removed that printer from the laptop. I have not yet relodaded the printer to the laptop.
