You may need to enable "Show Hidden Files and Folders" in Device Manager>Folder Options, "View" tab in order to see the idstore.sst file.

The fix seems to be Deleting the file idstore.sst under C:\windows\serviceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking
It might also help to Start the Task Manager Click on the service Tab, find the "HomeGroupProvider" and stop it. You may need to go back into services and enable PeerNetworking and HomeGroupProvider again after the fix. Don't forget to restart all machines after making those changes.
You will need to do this on both machines.

for these problems and this procedure has worked many times to fix both of the problems you are seeing.
