    how to setup home lan gaming


    how do i setup home lan gaming
    for the two computers windows xp and windows 7

    i have a switch and internet access
    note: i cant go online.. cause only one computer can have internet at a time

    games will be used
    -counter strike
    -trackmania nations forever
    -any other lan games

    I would benefit you if you were to buy a router... if anything a non wireless router if your budget is low.

    if i buy a router... i can play online and lan for the 2 computers at the same time

    and what would be the setup/instructions for lan setup

    the online features in games is easy i know it,..... but for lan setup???

    If you buy a router, just plug both computers in to same router with a lan cable and if they both belong to same workgroup sharing will be really easy. To change your workgroup click start-right click computer- properties- click change settings- on new window click change and type what you want your workgroup to be called and click ok and restart.

    then if i had done seting up the workgroup name

    for example if i go to gamemainmenu/click lan gaming

    it will automatically detect my ohter computer then i will join, is that it

    Possibly, I'm not 100% sure I don't play to many computer games. Let me know if it does or doesn't work.
