Windows 7: Users unable to access deployed printers, error 0x00000005

Users unable to access deployed printers, error 0x00000005

I am running a school network with windows 7 professional x64 machines and a 2008 R2 server. I have installed the printers on the server and deployed them to the machines using the deploy printers feature and a group policy.
When I logon to the machines, as an administrator, both printers appear and are able to be used. If a user logs on they are able to see both printers, however they may be able to access both printers, they may be able to access one printer and the other one is greyed out and if they try to use the greyed out one they get the message "operation could not be completed (error 0x00000005). Access is denied" or both printers may be greyed out.
I have done a heap of searching and have changed the Point and Print restrictions, have tried adding Network as a user to the servers print spooler. The only thing that I found that I haven't tried is to click on View Server in the security tab of the Print management on the server and that is because I don't get this tab showing up and if I look at the security setting of the printers I don't have a View Server option.
Any help would be appreciated as I am a teacher that volunteers to look after the network and I am getting close to rolling back to XP as the printers worked on that.
