Remote Desktop Protocol 7

This looks like an interesting feature added to Windows 7, especially the DirectX remoting.



What are some of the applications that are going to emerge from this? Are there any planned? Or what do you see as a possibility?

Is this a major step toward “cloud” systems?

To what degree will this be compatible with Vista…if any? XP?

I know these links are initial stage demos but they were the best I could find. Please share any other cool links.

I can't see the video (still).

And I think this needs to be in the news section.

Most of us here are not big fans of cloud computing. Cloud computer = less secure. Not a lot of us are willing to have personal files be transferred to a network like that.
