    Wireless Laptop ( WAP ) to Wired Desktop ( ADSL router ) LAN


    i have desktop with internet connection via cable to
    ADSL2+ Router
    and 2 laptop with internet connection via wirless to
    Wireless Access Point which is connected to the ADSL2+ Router

    how i share files between desktop and one of laptops
    or between the two laptops

    i can see one of the laptops but when i click on it give me an error msg windows cannot find \\LaptopName
    and viceversa on laptop i can see my desktop and when i click on it it give me the same error

    i also can ping from laptop to desktop and not from desktop to laptop

    Run the computer to a port on the wap and make sure all your machines are in the same workgroup.

    WAP only have one RJ45 port
    and i did make all computers in the same workgroup

    Check to see if their are firmware upgrades for your equipment. Post your ipconfig /all results here. The adsl connection should be set to auto obtain for dhcp. The ip addresses should be .1 on the primary and .2 on the secondary.

    Try enabling the DHCP in the TP Link and add the default gateway. After you save the settings, turn it off and then back on...
