    Wireless Connection help

    Wireless Connection Help

    Hi all,

I have an old Vaio FS-550 running on XP. The task bar indicated I had no Wireless connection. I had tried to connect through Wired. I works with Wired connection but NO wireless. I googled the problem with wireless but no avail. These were the things I’d done:

1.Software: Driver updated. . I reformatted the HD. I went through Repair network. TCP/IP check. In the Internet connection, I see Wireless Connection.

2.Hardware: I replaced the Pro-wireless card. I reattached the Main and Aux wires.

Each time I double-click on the Wireless Connection, it appears the computer cannot detect any networks including my own. I don’t know what’s wrong with it. I wonder if the wire Main and Aux on the 2 poles of the card have anything with the loss of my Wireless internet connection?

    Your help’s very much appreciated.

    Hi,

I just found out what the problem has been for me. The switch happened to be in the "off" position. Thank you all.
