The router plugs into my modem, and the ethernet cord from the router goes into one of these:
Amazon.com: Dynex DX-EHB4 - Hub - 4 ports - Ethernet - 10Base-T - DC power - external: Computers & Accessories. My PC, Xbox and PS3 are all connected to that. Also during this time my iPhone couldn't get internet through WiFi. I have the D-Link DIR-655 as my router. Does anyone have any suggestions as to fix my problem? Thanks!
So after you reset the DIR-655, did you go into the wireless settings and set everything up again like the SSID, security should be WPA2, encryption should be AES, you need to come up with a good password as well. I have the same router by the way.
After all that make sure your wireless profile in Windows is set up with the same settings as the router is using.
If you are getting disconnections you might also try changing the wireless channel to one that your neighbors aren't using, Xirrus wifi inspector is good for checking to see which channels are in use in your area.
