Cannot access modem management page through router

    Hello,

I recently upgraded my network with the following

    TD-8616 - Welcome to TP-LINK
    TL-WDR4300 - Welcome to TP-LINK
    TL-SG1008D - Welcome to TP-LINK

This is a very good solution of 150 euros total cost and very reliable :)

Anyways, everything works fine BUT i have a "small" problem with the modem! Using the default settings

    router ip: 192.168.0.1
    modem ip: 192.168.1.1

    ethernet adapter settings
    Connection-specific DNS Suffix:
Description: Realtek RTL8168B/8111B Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)
    Physical Address: ‎00-24-8C-63-35-92
    DHCP Enabled: Yes
    IPv4 Address: 192.168.0.100
    IPv4 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Lease Obtained: Τετάρτη, 29 Αυγούστου 2012 01:10:40
    Lease Expires: Παρασκευή, 31 Αυγούστου 2012 01:10:40
    IPv4 Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
    IPv4 DHCP Server: 192.168.0.1
    IPv4 DNS Server: 192.168.0.1
    IPv4 WINS Server:
    NetBIOS over Tcpip Enabled: Yes
    Link-local IPv6 Address: fe80::64a8:4c00:6f96:575%30
    IPv6 Default Gateway:
    IPv6 DNS Server:
Assuming I wanted to use only the modem connected directly to my pc, and according to the manual http://www.tp-link.com/Resources/doc...User_Guide.pdf (page 13/67), I should manually set my ethernet to use 192.168.1.2 in order to access the web based configuration page 192.168.1.1 of the modem. Ok, this worked.
But when i use both modem and router, i try to access 192.168.1.1, i get no response.

I have tried changing my router's ip address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.2 (assuming that the modem will see the router as client pc) but with no luck.

    Any ideas?

After receiving support from TP link, it cannot be done. The pc must be connected directly to the modem in order to gain access to it's management page.
