need some help with my acer aspire x3810 network connection.

greetiings, i am currently searching for some way to fix a problem with my network card.
my wireless works nicely, but i have just moved to an apartement wich i need cable.
problem is, the network card(?) wont start. when i enter the device manager, and click
''intel(r) 82567LM-2 Gigabit network connection'' it says that''this device/unit cannot start.(kode 10)
now, ive tried to update the drivers for it, and all i get is ''the best drivers are already installed''

please help me, i am horrible at this stuff.

also, i know i can buy a new network card, but i have no idea where to plug it in. the place where i put my network cable just enters a big grey metallic box, wich is connected to the motherboard.

now, really sorry for being a noob
